Try this recipe to achieve the taste similar to Halal Cart (NYC) chicken and rice.

Servings: 3-4 people

Chicken (1.5-2 lbs) – Mix below ingredients in a bag or bowl

  1. Medit Chicken” Spiceganic seasoning (1.5-2 tablespoons or to your preference)
  2. 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil
  3. 1 table spoon of fresh lemon juice (optional)
  4. 1-2 cloves of fresh garlic (optional)

Basmati Rice – Mix below ingredients to a rice cooker

  1. 1.5 cup (rice measuring cup) of washed rice
  2. 2 tablespoon of butter
  3. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric and 1/4 teaspoon cumin or “Medit Chicken” Spiceganic seasoning (3/4 teaspoon)
  4. Add 2 cups of chicken broth
  5. Add salt and pepper (optional)

White Sauce – Mix below ingredients in a bowl

  1. 1/2 cup of mayonaise
  2. 1/2 cup of plain yogurt
  3. 1 tablespoon of sugar
  4. 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  5. 1 teaspoon of parsley
  6. Salt and pepper to taste
  7. Chopped garlic to taste
  8. 1-2 teaspoon of dill (optional)
